Day 1: Mumbai

Arrive in Mumbai

Upon your arrival in Mumbai, you will be greeted by a local representative and transferred to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle.

Often referred to as the ‘Mother of all Cities’, Mumbai (formerly Bombay) boasts a history that is as rich as it is eclectic. Having transformed from a humble fishing village into a thriving metropolis, it bears the scars of colonial conquest from its spells as a vital trading hub under the rule of both the British and Portuguese imperial powers. Today, this charmingly chaotic destination is considered India’s financial capital and is the country’s largest city, with its greater metropolitan area home to some 18.4 million people.
