Arrive in Delhi
Upon your arrival in Delhi, India’s tumultuous capital city, you’ll meet with a local representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle.
In the afternoon, you have the option to explore Delhi’s bustling local markets to browse traditional handicrafts, colourful textiles and aromatic spices along with some of the city’s mouthwatering street food.
Alternatively, should you prefer to unwind after your international flight, you can choose to simply relax at your hotel and enjoy its facilities.

Old Delhi & New Delhi Discovery
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you’ll embark on a day of exploration through the contrasting streets of Old and New Delhi.
You’ll begin this immersive tour in Old Delhi, where history reverberates through the narrow lanes and bustling markets with their heady aromas. First, you’ll stop at the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques to be found across India that was commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the mid-17th century. Following this, you’ll wander through the vibrant bazaars of Chandni Chowk, where the air is infused with the scent of exotic spices and abuzz with the chatter of local merchants.
Next, you’ll delve into the history of Old Delhi’s Red Fort, a glorious symbol of Mughal power and grandeur fusing Persian and indigenous architectural styles. For a true immersion in the spirit of Old Delhi, you’ll then embark on a thrilling rickshaw ride through the labyrinthine streets, where each corner reveals a unique facet of the city’s dynamic culture and heritage. Feel the essence of the city wash over you as you weave through thrumming crowds, past centuries-old monuments and the vibrant street life.
Transitioning to New Delhi, you’ll make a stop at the stunning Humayun’s Tomb, a masterpiece of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was built as a tomb for the Mughal emperor Humayun. Then, you can marvel at the towering elegance of Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret, which soars above the site of Delhi’s oldest fortified city, Lal Kot.

Transfer to Varanasi & Sacred Ganga Aarti Ritual
After breakfast, you’ll reconvene with your driver and transfer to Delhi’s airport for your scheduled flight to Varanasi, a deeply spiritual city on the banks of the River Ganges in India’s Uttar Pradesh region, and one of the oldest continually habituated cities in the world. Arriving in Varanasi, you’ll transfer by private vehicle to your hotel for check-in.
As evening descends, prepare for a soul-stirring experience as you partake in the sacred ritual of Ganga Aarti on the banks of the River Ganges. Join throngs of devotees and visitors to witness the spectacle of oil lamps being lit, prayers being offered and hymns being sung in reverence to the sacred river, considered by Hindus to be the embodiment of the divine goddess Ganga.
As the flames flicker upon the water’s surface and the melodic chants fill the air, feel a profound sense of spirituality permeate the river’s edge and envelop the city. Early-Morning Boat Ride on the River Ganges, Temples of Varanasi & Visit to Sarnath
As the first light of dawn reddens the horizon, you’ll embark on a serene boat ride along the sacred waters of the River Ganges. Drifting gently along, you can witness the city of Varanasi awaken from its slumber, glimpsing devotees perform their morning rituals along the ghats, the ancient steps which line the river’s edge and descend into the flowing waters. With the gentle rhythm of the oars lapping against the water, you’ll glide past historic temples and bustling marketplaces, offering a glimpse into the daily life and spiritual fervour of one of India’s most inspiring cities. After this enchanting early-morning experience, you’ll return to the hotel, where a sumptuous breakfast awaits.
Later, you will visit some of Varanasi’s most iconic temples and ghats, each steeped in legend and mythology. From the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple to the picturesque Dashashwamedh Ghat, where the Ganga Aarti unfolds in all its glory, each step unveils a significant facet of Varanasi’s spiritual essence.
In the afternoon, you’ll venture beyond the city limits to the sacred site of Sarnath, where Lord Buddha is said to have delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Here you can explore the magnificent Dhamek Stupa, a symbol of Buddhist faith and devotion, and delve into the rich spiritual history of this revered Buddhist pilgrimage site at the Sarnath Museum.

Transfer to Agra via Delhi, Sunset at the Taj Mahal & Browse the Local Markets
Following breakfast at the hotel, you’ll transfer to the airport where you’ll board a plane that will take you back to Delhi. Once in Delhi, you’ll be greeted at the airport before embarking on a scenic road transfer to Agra, a journey of approximately 3 hrs.
Renowned as a treasure trove of Mughal heritage as well as myriad landmarks from this formidable former empire, Agra is home to some of India’s most iconic historical sites, including the Taj Mahal. As evening begins its descent over the evocative landscapes of Northern India, you will head to this enchanting white-marble mausoleum, commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. Take in the breathtaking beauty of this gleaming marble structure and its intricate Mughal-era design as the setting sun casts a golden haze over the land, the flowing waters of the Yamuna River running behind this awe-striking building whose beauty is nothing short of spellbinding.
As evening sets in properly, you’ll head to one of Agra’s bustling markets where you can mingle with the locals, barter for goods and shop for souvenirs, handicrafts and other traditional items.

Agra Fort, Transfer to Jaipur, Visit to Local Jaipuri Market & Optional Royal Dining Experience
After a replenishing breakfast, you’ll pay a visit to Agra Fort, a formidable Mughal-era fortress built from red sandstone whose seemingly impenetrable fortifications once housed India’s powerful Mughal rulers.
Later, after checking out of your hotel, you’ll depart Agra and enjoy a scenic four-hour drive to Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan and known as the land of the Rajputs. Jaipur is widely referred to as the ‘Pink City’ for the many pink buildings which dot its streets, while it is also home to opulent ancient forts and palaces from the days of the Rajput.
Arriving in Jaipur, you can discover the city’s tapestry of bustling markets, renowned across India for their exquisite textiles and sparkling jewellery. In the evening, you will have the option to indulge in a Royal Dining Experience (at additional cost), dining in a luxurious heritage hotel where you can savour some of Rajasthan’s regal recipes.

Tour of Jaipur
After breakfast, you’ll visit the magnificent Amer Fort, built in the 16th century and set atop the Aravalli Hills overlooking the city of Jaipur. A stunning example of traditional Rajput architecture, within the fort’s high walls you can explore palaces, courtyards and gardens for a glimpse into a rich epoch in India’s history.
Next, you’ll discover the opulence of the City Palace, a splendid complex showcasing a stunning fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Here you can explore a fascinating museum housing artefacts and royal treasures for an insight into Jaipur’s regal heritage.
You’ll also visit Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory built by the Maharaja of Jaipur. Then, you’ll head to the wondrous Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), built in the 18th century and one of the most arresting architectural marvels across Northern India. Later in the evening, you can head to a local bazaar to browse the many facets of traditional Jaipuri handicrafts such as precious jewels, richly coloured fabrics, woven carpets and more, watching local artisans at work.

Transfer to Mumbai, Explore Colaba & Visit Marine Drive
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Mumbai. Often referred to as the ‘Mother of all Cities’, Mumbai (formerly Bombay) boasts a history that is as rich as it is eclectic. Having transformed from a humble fishing village into a thriving metropolis, it bears the scars of colonial conquest from its spells as a vital trading hub under the rule of both the British and Portuguese imperial powers. Today, this charmingly chaotic destination is considered India’s financial capital and is the country’s largest city, with its greater metropolitan area home to some 18.4 million people. Once you arrive in Mumbai, you will transfer to your hotel to check in.
Later on, you’ll explore the bustling streets of Colaba, a vibrant neighbourhood renowned for its eclectic mix of shops, cafés and cultural sites. Lose yourself in the colourful chaos of the throngs of locals, head to the street vendors to bargain for unique souvenirs and handicrafts, and sample some of the tantalising street food on offer.
As the day progresses, you’ll head to Marine Drive, Mumbai’s beautiful waterfront promenade which curves along the edge of the Arabian Sea. Here you can take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, soaking in the views of Mumbai’s glittering skyline and the endless expanse of sea stretching before you.

Gateway of India, Elephanta Caves, Chhatrapati Shivaji & Prince of Wales Museum
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you’ll visit the majestic Gateway of India, an iconic arch-monument overlooking the Arabian Sea that was erected in 1924 to commemorate the landing of King George V of England.
Then, you’ll embark on a blissful boat ride to the Elephants Caves, a series of rock-cut grottoes located on Elephants Island in Mumbai Harbour. These striking ancient caves date from the 5th to 8th centuries, and offer the opportunity to admire their impressive sculptures, intricate carvings and beautiful architecture depicting Hindu myth and legends.
You’ll then pay a visit to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and historic train station completed by the British in 1887. The terminus is a spectacular example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture with its elaborate façade, towering spires and stained-glass windows.
Your historical journey through Mumbai’s concludes with a visit to the Prince of Wales Museum, now known as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya. Step inside this magnificent museum to browse its diverse collection of artefacts, artworks and archaeological treasures that offer a glimpse into India’s rich heritage and cultural legacy.
