This four-night Sri Lanka Wildlife Tour offers the chance to spot leopards, elephants and more with an exhilarating jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park, home to elusive Sri Lankan leopards, followed by another in Minneriya National Park, where herds of wild elephants roam. Other highlights include visiting the breathtaking Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the ancient ruins of Anuradhapura.

Day 1: Arrive Sri Lanka

Colombo - Anuradhapura

Upon arriving at Colombo International Airport, you will be met by a professional representative and transferred in an air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Anuradhapura.

Day 2: Wilpattu National Park & Anuradhapura

Get ready for wildlife encounters! This morning you'll head into Wilpattu National Park - ask us if you would like the early 6AM safari option,with a packed breakfast! - which is well-known for its leopard and elephant populations, as well as wild boar, spotted deer and crocodile.

When your safari is over you'll head back to your hotel to freshen up and relax .

In the late afternoon,you will visit Anuradhapura for a guided tour of this ancient city ,where you will visit the oldest documented tree on earth (over 2,200 years old!) as well as dome-shaped dagobas and rock temples dating back to the third century.

Day 2: Wilpattu National Park & Anuradhapura

Day 3: Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress located in the heart of Sri Lanka. Built in the 5th century, Sigiriya Rock (also known as Lion Rock) is an amazing feat of engineering, rising 200 metres above the surrounding landscape. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982, Sigiriya Rock is one of the best preserved cities from the first millennium in Asia.

Day 4: Dambulla & Wildlife Experience

Dambulla - Sri Lankan National Park - Sigiriya / Habarana

Experience a mixture of culture and wildlife encounters on today's itinerary. Start with a morning visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you'll find statues of Buddha, cave inscriptions and many paintings.

The second part of your day is all about wildlife experiences with a thrilling jeep safari in one of Sri Lanka’s national parks: Minneriya, Hurulu Eco or Kaudulla where you may see sambar deep, leopards and elephants.

Day 5: Hiriwadunna Village Trek & Departure

Hiriwadunna - Departure

On your last day in Sri Lanka you'll head off on a jungle walk and local village experience where you'll walk and boat through jungle pathways and waterways before sitting down to an authentic Sri Lankan lunch with a local farmer.

After your days' sightseeing ,you will be taken back to the hotel to freshen up, then taken to the airport ,or we can arrange for you to extend your trip with a beach stay on Sri Lanka's coast.
